Have you begun planning your summer? How about your long weekend in May? Or even your July Canada Day, August Civic holiday, or (God forbid), your Labour Day weekend just shy of beginning school again this fall?

Don't fret. Outback Camping, located in Port Burwell, has a thrilling summer booked for all your holidays this summer. And if you enjoy the outdoors, love to camp and enjoy rock music, the first long weekend of the summer is guaranteed to leave some lasting memories and a camera full of photos.

From May 20 to 23, Outback is hosting a concert featuring 2010 Best New Band Juno Award nominees: The Arkells, The Salads, the Mudmen, San Sebastian, Dinosaur Bones and The Balance.

"We wanted to stay true to our customers by offering the top-end talent they've come to expect at the campground, but we also wanted to expand our market to give an opportunity for the local community to not only get involved … but possibly benefit. With this year's programming, we think we've done that," said Outback Campground owner Mike Timmermans.

Outback Campground is located at 6679 Woodworth Road in Port Burwell, Ontario on 12 and a half acres. There are 60 campsites (25 serviced with water and electricity and 10 with sewers), public washrooms, showers, a pool and volleyball and basketball courts. There is also a Tiki Club at the back of the campground where the after-party will be held May 24 weekend. Merchandise tables for the event, food vendors and a possible appearance by Tucker and Taz of FM96 are worth bringing your friends, tents or trailers, and a BYOB cooler full of your favourite beverages — no glass, please.

Outback Campground also features 40' by 20' pool, pool tables and foosball. There is a beach just minutes away, with canoeing, kayaking, jet skiing, stock car racing, hiking, fishing, boating, dirt biking and mountain biking also close by.

"We ran a similar event last year at this time," exclaimed Timmermans. "We've evolved (from 800 guests), and we're aiming for 1,500 people this time (on the May long weekend). FM96 is a media sponsor. Cost is $80 in advance or $90 at the door. That price includes three nights and three days of camping, your campsite and entrance to the games. There will also be an inflatable obstacle course to round out the event."

July 1 weekend talent is unconfirmed, but Civic weekend is a Mardi Gras-themed event from July 29 to August 1. September long weekend, a closure to summer, will be country music concert with bands to be announced.
