Hospitality rolls out delicious changes in new year

Get ready to get hungry — the hospitality department of the Fanshawe Student Union is starting the year off with some exciting options.

First off, free-range eggs are now exclusively used in the Out Back Shack this semester. Free-range eggs are from chickens that are allowed to roam freely in their environment.

At the Oasis, they're changing things up for lunch for the next two months. Every Wednesday, students can enjoy authentic Indian dishes from Tango Express. The catering service, run by Fanshawe graduate Tanya Hooda, will be bringing in delicious Indian cuisine that offers something for everyone. There will be a vegetarian option and a meat option, along with other traditional foods like naan bread. She'll be serving about 100 portions, so be sure you're the first in line to try something new for lunch.

The Oasis' grab-and-go area will be featuring new muffins and croissants for students as well.

The Out Back Shack will be bringing brunch to campus. There will be a once-a-month brunch beginning Sunday, January 23 with the Executive Brunch in the Out Back Shack. All-you-can-eat brunch for $9.95 sounds like a great deal to us! A Valentine's Day brunch will take place on Sunday, February 13.

Finally, there will be all-day breakfast items added to the Out Back Shack's menu. So when you want some pancakes for dinner, they can accommodate you.

The Out Back Shack now opens at 10 a.m.
