Keeping up with style
So Fanshawe, another year has
passed and summer is almost here.
It's the best time of the year to
wear whatever you want; take
advantage of cute skirts, big sunglasses,
tanks and jumpers. Quit
hiding under coats and sweaters
and show off your favourite summer
clothes. In order to ensure you
are all keeping up on fashion
trends and exploring great style,
I've put together a list of my
favourite fashion blogs for you to
keep up with this summer.
Sea of Shoes:

More of a personal blog, but the photographs are always beautiful and the writer, Jane, has a wonderful sense of style. She mixes a lot of unusual pieces but maintains a high fashion look. Her vintage pieces are always inspiring and her lifestyle is envious to me.
The Sartorialist
thesartorialist. blogspot.com
“Selected as one of Time Magazine's Top 100 Design Influencers,” it showcases photographs of everyday people on the streets of New York, using streetwear looks to gain inspiration. Writer Scott Schuman believes that most of the time with street fashion you do not see the whole outfit as a yes or a no. Instead, look for concepts or colours in a look to gain inspiration and then build your own ideas on that portion.
Lookbook:

Lookbook is a pretty well known blog but I still use it as my muse when designing or creating an outfit. Fashion photographs from bloggers, stylists, designers, and more are posted from around the world. It is simply visual and updated quite often. It's my favourite site for lazily browsing.
Style Rookie:

Saving the best for last, Tavi Gevinson's blog: Style Rookie. Tavi is currently 13 years old and in my opinion, one of the best fashion critics out there. She is articulate, intelligent, and quite opinionated. Regardless of how long I've been reading her blog, it still amazes me every time she updates when I think of how old she is. She has accomplished so much in her lifetime thus far and is beginning to be seen as a fashion icon. She's adored by many famous designers and has been featured in fashion magazines and fashion television more than once. Her blog is quirky and fun and should be the one website you check weekly, if not daily.
