Break-in
The Elgin County OPP are investigating a break-in at the Belmont Post Office. Overnight, Sunday, September 25th, thieves gained entry through the front customer service door, then forced the inner door to the main office area. Once inside the main office area, the suspects gained entry into the safe and stole $10,000 in stamps and coins. Police are investigating similar break-ins to post offices in South Western Ontario.

Arson Investigation
The Strathroy-Caradoc Police are asking for the public's assistance with their investigation of an arson at the Mount Bridges Home & Garden Store
October 9th. This business was completely destroyed by the fire. Police investigation has indicated the business had been entered prior to the fire, as items from the business were located on neighbouring properties. Police are investigating this fire as arson.
