Attention singers attending Fanshawe, here comes the big event. On March 11 and 12 from 5:30 to 6:30pm, the Fanshawe Student Union will be holding the first round of judging for Fanshawe Idol.

Registration will take place between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. The contest will be held in Forwell Hall. There will be a book of karaoke songs to choose from, or you can bring your own music without words. After the first round, a chance at the finals will happen for the top 10 on March 16.

The finals will be judged by members of the music community.

If you are the one voted best voice, then you are Fanshawe's idol. It is free to register and there are prizes for the top three!! First place will take home $150, second $75 and third will walk away with $40, but best part of the contest is still to come!

On March 27 at St. Clair College the winner of Fanshawe Idol will face off against the winners from other Ontario colleges. This year's Campus Idol winner will take home $1,000 and a trip for two from Breakaway Tours.

This year's contest is going to be bigger and better than those before it, so practice with your iPod, sing in the shower, or belt it out at the club. Get your music together, bring your talent and have a chance to represent Fanshawe!! It's time to showcase your voice.
