Poetry: A sleepless night

Sleep
Sleep silently my darling dear and let me kiss thy lips
When darkness has fallen I shall count the stars for thee
Upon every number I shall make thee a wish
May you be happy my love
May you be at peace
May you find love
May you be well
And many, many more wishes

The Sea
For I did ride upon the sea and fell with fever
And as I lay in a deep sleep she came to me
She restored me back to health
When I awoke her healing hands I felt upon my skin
Oh but sweet young hands I have fallen in love
For she did heal me in my sleep

Winged Butterfly
My heart has spoken of thy fair beauty
In hast I beheld thee and was transformed
Precious in my sight you are
Arise youthful bliss and cover me with thy wings
Sleep sweet being among the pastures
Receive the petals of the roses as they shield thy body
When you have rested remember me oh butterfly

Boat
I was awaken in the silent night
My name I did hear but behold there was no one there
I gazed about but all were in deep slumber
My eyes did search for that womanly voice
Than there it was again, the sound of melody
Here I am I said to the voice
Yet still I could not see whom it was
Then with a sweet voice she spoke ones more
I am the wind that speaks to thee
I felt her move about me blowing ever so gently
Her lips touched mine and brought in me new love
And oh what love it was
