Falcons came home for successful weekend
A complete sweep took place during Homecoming weekend for Fanshawe Athletics.
The Fanshawe Falcon men's and women's volleyball teams, and the men's and women's basketball teams were all successful during the annual Homecoming event on October 22.
The Falcon men defeated the Redeemer Royals on the basketball court by a score of 88-58. Pat Sewell led the attack for Fanshawe scoring 15 points, Dave Brown added 13 points, and Keder Ahmed and Pat Wright added 12 points each to the balanced Falcon attack.
Fanshawe's women's basketball team also were victorious, defeating the Royals 66-38. Jessica Findlay led the way with 15 points, and rookie Meghan Mcpeak contributed with 10 points.
The men's volleyball team demolished the George Brown Huskies 3-0 (25-4, 25-10, 25-16). Eleven players from the Falcons scored points in the dominating win.
The women's volleyball team took on a team of alumni, tiring them 2-2 before stopping the contest due to time constraints.
