Big prizes at hip-hop battle
On Friday, November 7, 2008, 16 producers go head-to-head in a hip hop battle, showcasing their own productions against each other in front of a panel of judges who are Shad-K, Mic Boogie, D-Sisive.
CHRW's “The Come Up Show” DJ Chedo will host The Producer's Showcase Challenge at Downtown Kathy Brown's.
“The whole purpose of this event is to give our Canadian talent a platform in which to showcase their individual skills to an audience and other competitors to help connect networks and strengthen Canada's Hip Hop Industry,” said Chedo.
Performing at the event will be three live performances by Point Blank, Strik-9 & Flex and Rich Kidd-t and DJ Everfresh on the 1's and 2's.
“The prizes consist of exposure opportunities for these talented individuals, which in this industry is most important,” said Chedo.
“We have a wide range of media outlets to offer write ups and give interviews to the champion to further help get his name out there some of our prizes come from Legion Of Beats Feature Article, a Producer feature on HipHop Canada website, produce a track for a New York artist that will be featured on Various Mixtapes and Hip Hop sites, an engineer to mix their song which is worth $500.”
According to Chedo, the mixer did tracks for artist like Jay-Z, J-Lo, Redman and Kanye West.
