Re: The Interrobang Distorter, which is the fictional page of the paper.

I have noticed a consistent trend in the mock articles of the “London Distorter” that I feel the need to address.

I completely appreciate the novelty of having fictional articles in the Interrobang to lighten the “seriousness” of news and to simply engage in satire. However, I find that the articles seem to consistently include content that is quite sexist in it's depiction of women.

I find that when included as elements of these stories, women are being constantly sexualized, and referred to in the context of body parts and sexual acts.

I hope that we've come far enough as a society that we can see women as more than objects of sex, and if you're going to use female characters in your humour, I think it can be done in a more respectful, clever manner.

I invite you to challenge yourselves and your readers by being funny while avoiding sexual stereotypes and disrespect.
