Exec Corner: Something that may be ‘appealing' to you

When I was asked to write an article for this weeks exec corner, I thought it would be a good idea to let you know what exactly it is I do for the Fanshawe Student Union. First off, I will tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Cameron Boniferro and I am your Vice President of External and Academic Affairs. I am from Sault Ste. Marie and take pride in helping anyone I can. I feel the most important part of my job is dealing with Academic Appeals. It feels good to be able to help a student get the grade that they feel they should have.

So what exactly should you visit me about? I am here to help you if you feel another student got a better mark then you did for the same amount of work. I am here if you feel you have been treated unfairly. I am here if you feel that your teacher is not doing their job. I am here if you feel you are not getting enough out of your course. I am here if you have any type of question regarding grades or academic procedures.

Please do not be afraid to come and see me if something is bothering you about a grade or about how you are evaluated. You pay a lot for your education so make sure you get the treatment and grades that you deserve. If you don't come and see me, I can't help. If you have any questions please feel free to stop by the Fanshawe Student Union building at SC2001 or call me at 519.452.4109 ext. 6309. Have a great year!
