The end of an ended earth: Aliens vs. zombies vs. killer robots

I, like many readers out there, was raised in the nineties. I grew-up watching movies like Terminator, Aliens and the numerous George A. Romero zombie films. I'm not positive, but I'm quite sure that soon humanity is going to end at the hands of killer-robots, invading aliens or a zombie plight. My question is, what then?

Okay, I'm not sure how humanity will finally fall as the only creature on the planet capable of reason, but that is of little consequence for the subject at hand. What I'm wondering is who will control the planet afterwards?

Let's say that all of our sophisticated technology turns on us and the devices created for our convenience become utensils of our demise, how will they be able to stand against the alien invasion? The whole reason why we wouldn't be able to stop the killer robots in the first place was because we won't see any of it coming. I assume that aliens are probably already watching us, so they will have full-knowledge of any robotic civil wars taking place on our planet as they happen.

Could a horde of zombies take down these automated machines? My guess is probably not. I've seen those crazy flying things from The Matrix; there's no way a zombie could stand up to one of those.

What if an alien was bitten by the undead? All logic suggests that the result would be some kind of zombified-alien. Think about it: the alien would spit acid at you and then you'd be zombified, a double whammy.

I guess the aliens would have the technology to fight the robots effectively. In Independence Day, the aliens took down whole cities, but I still think that the robots would stand a chance. I mean, killer robots aren't exactly gullible, they'd figure out how to take care of themselves.

I know it seems like the zombies are the under dogs here, but I think they'd have a decent shot at the title. In Land of the Dead the zombies learned how to operate weaponry and besides, if zombies are so inept, how come they managed to take the planet from us to begin with?

Of course, then other things need to be considered. What kind of aliens are we dealing with? Are these aliens telekinetic? Can they reverse the effects of zombifacation? Can they reprogram the robots? If the aliens' base is orbiting the planet in space than both the robots and the zombies are going to have a hard time attacking them, however, both the robots and the zombies can survive without oxygen, as well as in deep space temperatures, giving them the environmental advantage. Moreover we have to assume that Earth's atmosphere can sustain these aliens.

We also have to assume that the aliens have a whole other planet that they could draw limitless resources from. Wait! What if the zombies and the robots joined forces and wiped out the aliens and then crusaded to conquer the alien's planet? But what kind of treaty could be signed? There would have to be some sort of trade agreement to ensure loyalty on the side of each party. Without a need for one another, a peace couldn't survive long.

I should hope, dear readers, that this speculation gives but a hint of the complexity to the post-human planet. As these three titans engage in a struggle for our ruined civilization, the only wish I have is that I could be around to see the outcome of the aforementioned struggle. The only thing that bears any resemblance to a simulation of such an event is StarCraft, so I'm going to go see what would happen.
