From the Editor: FSU Elections Issue
Dear readers,
It is with a heavy heart that I welcome you to this issue of Interrobang.
Last week, we learned the unfortunate news that Interrobang’s operations would be shutting down after more than 50 years of publication. The last issue of Volume 57, set to hit stands on April 4, will be the last issue of Interrobang for the foreseeable future.
Interrobang has meant so much to so many people over the years, and there will be much to say over the next couple of issues about the long and storied history of this publication, but for now, I wish only to extend my condolences to any staff, students, and faculty who may be affected by this news. I share in your sadness at this unimaginable loss. Trust that I understand the impact this will have on our community, especially at a time when access to local, student-focused information is so hard to come by.
I want to leave you with a sense of hope, though, and remind you that the work of student journalists never truly stops. Storytelling has always defined us as humans, and that is not going to change now. The stories this newspaper has held throughout the years will live on forever, and so will the stories inside the issue in your hands right now.
Interrobang functions as something of a time capsule for this college. Its pages capture countless eras and decades worth of moments that might have been lost to time otherwise. We intend to use these final three issues to honour that legacy. To capture this moment, this era–
And this goodbye.
Sincerely,
Hannah Theodore
