From the Editor: Interrobang is leaving X
Interrobang is leaving X.
After 13 years on this website, it has become clear that X (formerly known as Twitter) is no longer a place where factual news can thrive. At Interrobang, we value truth, respect, and integrity. We value student journalism and uplifting the voices of the vulnerable. As X has descended into an unmitigated breeding ground for hateful rhetoric, bots, and misinformation, we no longer feel as though our publication has a home there. Our mission is to serve our audience, and X is simply not the appropriate platform on which to do that.
Despite the challenges we face as a Canadian news publication, and our continued lockout from Meta-owned platforms like Facebook and Instagram, we firmly believe that retreating from X at this time is the right thing to do. We will continue to utilize other outlets to reach our audience, and we highly encourage our readers to find us on Bluesky (@fsuinterrobang), YouTube, and to subscribe to our newsletter to keep up with the latest Fanshawe campus news.
To all those who have followed us on Twitter/X over the years, thank you. Whether you are a current student of Fanshawe, an alumnus, or one of our many dedicated staff readers, your passion for student stories and community news is what drives us to do what we do.
