New line-up adds to Ashes

Bands come and bands go, it's a simple fact. Things were looking to go this way for Into The Ashes in August of last year, when the drummer, bass player and guitarist all left the band.

However, the break was only a bump in the road.

The original members' passion for music definitely shows through when they were willing to drive out to a show with their old band to play a half-hour set and only earned five dollars, which would be a very disheartening thing for any band to experience.

After losing three members of the band, the two remaining members have struggled with an unstable line-up for the past four months. Just recently Into The Ashes welcomed Colin MacLachlan (guitars), Ryan Miller (bass), Blair Youngblut (drums) and have risen out of the ashes anew.

Aside from the recent line-up change, Into The Ashes was doing very well for as a band before the member swap. In the past they have played in London's bar The Salt Lounge, Kitchener's Lancaster Tavern and The Huether Hotel and in at the new Tillsonburg venue, The Dungeon. At each of these locations Into The Ashes has shared the stage with local metal acts such as Of the First Born Son, Our Lady of Bloodshed and Man With Target to name a few.
