Allard captures single title in Fanshawe badminton invitational
A total of twelve Colleges and 132 athletes participated in the 17th Annual Fanshawe Invitational Badminton Tournament on November 24 to November 25. Defending 2005-2006 singles champions Nathaniel Allard of Fanshawe won the men's title and Margaret Myjak of Mohawk won the women's title.

Extramural men's hockey team crowned champions
The men's Extramural Ice Hockey team from Fanshawe College won a tournament on Friday, November 24 at Humber College that included twenty other college and university teams from across Ontario.

Men's volleyball third overall in OCAA
Fanshawe had round-robin victories over Georgian College, 4 to 2, the University of Toronto, 2 to 0, and Centennial College, 3 to 1, a semi-final victory over Humber College, 2-1 in a shoot-out, and a 6 to 3 victory over Durham College in the championship.

The Fanshawe Falcon men's volleyball team is ranked third overall in the OCAA. Holding a 3-1 record, the Falcons will travel to Niagara on Tuesday December 5 to battle their OCAA West division rivals, whom hold an identical 3-1 record, in their final contest of 2006.

Rookie leading women's basketball
Last minute heroics were needed in Hamilton as the Fanshawe Falcons snuck past the Mohawk Mountaineers 44-43 on Tuesday November 21. Down 41-35 in the final minutes, the Falcons used a 9-2 run on the road to defeat the struggling Mountaineers. Rookie Taylor Knipe of Fanshawe led the charge for the Falcons scoring 10 of her 11 points in the second half. The Falcons currently have a 3-2 record in the OCAA West division entering their final game of 2006 when they hosted Niagara College on Wednesday, November 29.

Women's volleyball First in OCAA West
The Fanshawe Falcon women's volleyball team sits on top of the OCAA West division with a 5-2 record. Stephanie Femia led the way with a team high14 points in a victory over Niagara College on Wednesday November 22. The Falcons will travel to Niagara for a re-match on Tuesday December 5 in the team's final game of the first half of the season.
