Why being in love is so great

Being single can be fun sometimes, but it sure doesn't beat how great it feels to be in love.

I think that almost everyone has looked at a disgustingly cute couple at some point and been annoyed at how they are behaving. Between pet names and public displays of affection, it can be kind of bizarre to see two people so infatuated with each other.

I agree that sometimes this can seem a little fake but once you are in love with someone it makes all of these actions much more understandable. Being in love may be scary because you have to let your guard down, but once you do it is one of the best things in the world.

If you can say that your boyfriend or girlfriend is your best friend then you are pretty lucky. Being in love with someone who you can laugh with, that you can tell all of your secrets to and be completely yourself with is truly a blessing.

When you are in love, your significant other will make all of the normal everyday things feel like adventures. Ordinary things like trips to Walmart or hanging out watching movies will start to feel like extraordinary things. Road trips will not just be road trips and watching sunsets will not just be watching sunsets. You will have a partner in crime that you can do pretty much anything with.

One of the best things about being in love is that you will always have someone to give you advice and support you. Your significant other will offer you comfort through the tough times and you will always have a shoulder to cry on.

Regardless of how many people say they do not want a relationship, being single can be exhausting. Trying to manage all of the online dating apps or scheduling time for different people can get tiring. Going on a number of first dates and having to play the role of a perfect person can get old very quick. Having to fly solo at all of your family events and constantly being asked if you are in a relationship yet is also a downer. Not to mention you generally feel the need to shave your legs more when you are single compared to when you are in a long-term relationship.

There is no such thing as a perfect relationship and people will inevitably make mistakes but if you love someone unconditionally, their strengths will outweigh their flaws. The person you love should make you want to be the best version of yourself and make the bad days better.

It is important that even if you do not want to live without the one you love you should always know that you would be able to. Try to make sure that before you get in a serious relationship you have a strong sense of self and have figured out how to be independent. Although it is nice to help each other out it is important that you do not rely solely on your boyfriend or girlfriend for everything. This will make your relationship that much stronger and make you appreciate love even more.
