The Intern: Last minute ideas for Halloween

Regardless of how old you may be, Halloween is a time that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Whether you are handing out candy, going around and collecting it, scaring the life out of other people, or stealing candy, whichever you prefer.

However, as you get older, there comes a time when you aren't so lucky when it comes to the whole “trick-or-treating” aspect of Halloween. A time when your treats go from full size chocolate bars and cans of pop, to bags of soup mix and wet naps. I know from experience.

Maybe it has something to do with little kids being so cute and innocent, and then teenagers being, well, not so cute and innocent.

Kids anticipate the day where they get to dress up like their favourite superhero, and go out with a pillow case or bag, which they know by the end of the night will be full of sweet goodness.

Teenagers anticipate the day they can see how much candy they can get trick-or-treating at the nearest variety store.

If you do plan to go trick-or-treating anyway, it's always a good idea to wear a costume.

There's nothing worse than a bunch of punk kids who come to your front door on Halloween expecting you to give them handfuls of candy, even though they are not even dressed up.

They don't have to be big, expensive, fancy costumes. They can be as simple as gathering up a few random things from around your house!

Ideas….

- Write the letter “P” with black marker on a white t-shirt, give yourself a black eye (with makeup obviously) and there you go, you're a black eyed P!

- Strap a doll to your tushy, and you can call yourself a babysitter!

- Try cutting out pictures of “hot babes” from various magazines, tape them all over your clothes, and voila! You are a chick magnet! ;)

Halloween only comes once a year so don't just sit in your house with all the lights out hoping no one will come to your door.

Enjoy yourself! Even if it means just sitting at home with a few buddies watching scary movies. :D
