Welcome back Fanshawe students, staff, faculty and community members to another issue of the Interrobang.

This week, my team and I bring to you a number of interesting stories that will surely keep your eyes locked on these pages, wanting more.

This issue is covered with some great stories, starting off with the grand opening of Fanshawe’s Student Wellness and Fitness Centre that happened on Sept. 21. With many honourable guests at the event, this marked the College’s continued efforts to create a healthy and safe environment for all of its students and staff on campus.

From there, our team looked into updates on the London Police Services’ (LPS) annual Project L.E.A.R.N initiative, which aims to keep students safe and respectful when they are partying and having a good time with friends.

We also looked into more updates in regards to the possible strike between Ontario College’s and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) members. Our team, along with the entire Fanshawe Student Union (FSU), will keep everyone updated on this story, as much as we can and with as much information as possible.

My team also covered MPP for London North Centre and Deputy Premier of Ontario, Deb Matthews, who made an announcement that will affect post-secondary education students and their studies.

This issue also highlights a few Fanshawe Alumni and one Western professor who are all making great entrepreneurial contributions to the City of London, while also making a name for themselves.

Add in the latest horror movie review and a new album review, some fitness tips and opinions and this issue is almost complete.

Last, but not least, out sports section covers some car news, along with a campus and FSU run wrestling event and a profile on one of the wrestlers who happens to also be a Fanshawe graduate.

Overall, this issue is filled with refreshing pieces to keep you tied in on what’s new and happening around Fanshawe. That does it for this week’s issue, which we hope will keep you reading until our next one is out on newsstands Oct. 2.

Happy Reading,

Melissa Novacaska
