Exec Corner: Random thoughts from someone who likes your jib

Hi Fanshawe students, how nice of you to read the paper.

There are a couple things I want to get off my chest, one being my shirt.

Every once and a while I'm asked to write something for the paper; something the students might relate to. Now I could write about reading, teachers, friends, parties, wacky-tobacky and many other exciting things, but instead I choose to write about whatever is in my mind, such things include Mr. Bean.

Mr. Bean is classic.

So how is Fanshawe College treating you? You do know if you don't like something you can find out if there is anything you can do about here at the delicious Fanshawe Student Union. Now if you have a problem with the decedent Fanshawe Student Union, then I suppose you can email me and we will talk about it.

When I first came to Fanshawe back in '82, I really didn't care much for anything. (I was born in '82, but I thought it sounded better then four years ago.) My journeys seemed to lead me nowhere and I wasn't given that satisfaction of "hooray I worked today and feel good" at the end of the day.

Well I've got news for ya! I'm Hungry and could go for a bubble tea right now! Yeah I know bubble tea isn't food, but that doesn't stop it from being delicious now does it?

Ok sorry, that kind of random insertion is what keeps me going, keeps me on my toes. The point I'm getting at is that all you need to do to stay busy and have fun is be yourself.

I don't know how I got to that point, but it's a good point none-the-less.

On another note, over the past half year I have been impressed by some of the student involvement in the school. Noted, I also have been disappointed by the lack of students at some events as well.

What is it that makes you the student not want to go out to a FSU pub event or a movie screening? These are just two of the ultra sweet options the FSU sets up for student enjoyment and they kick-arse.

First off are the Pubs. Pubs are a great way to get out of your place and meet some new people. You know you want to meet new people, I want to meet new people and you're a new person to me, so then...

After reading this you will know me but I won't know you. Why you ask? Because you haven't introduced yourself; now whose fault is that? Not mine. Go to the pub, you might get to talk to some new people even dance with one. I know it might be a stretch but it's possible. Just kidding (or in Internet lingo j/k) I'm sure you're a dance happy go-getter).

You'd be surprised what you can do if you put a little effort into it. Get off you're a-hole and get out to some events. The month of October is littered (and don't ever little garbage or GRRR) with fun-filled, jam-packed mega-cool stuff.

Ok if you haven't taken anything I've said seriously, then that's ok. Just remember this: I like the cut of your jib.
