Police encourage students to stay safe and have fun this Halloween.

London Police Services (LPS) will increase patrol on Halloween, which falls on a Friday, as well as the day before and after the holiday, according to LPS media relations officer Const. Ken Steeves.

No specific neighbourhood or area will be targeted, he said.

While there haven’t be any major incident on Halloween in recent years, Steeves says the recent nice weather and the fact that the holiday falls on Friday are reasons behind the increase patrol.

“Halloween is a time to have fun,” Steeves said. “We’re encouraging everyone to have fun, do so responsibly.”
