Seconds To Go last all night

London native's, Seconds to Go, had their CD release show at Call The Office on Friday, August 18. And it couldn't have been a more impressive performance.

Even before the band had hit the stage you could feel the intensity and anticipation from the crowd. But this was no ordinary crowd. An assortment of fist pumping fans, close friends and family all squeezed together in the sold out club.

It was something different all together, but it showed what five years of touring with such bands as, Summer Hero, Face to Face and My Chemical Romance on the Taste of Chaos Tour, and having a consistent line up could do for a band.

Seconds to Go consists of lead vocalist Nick Harris, drummer Jake Proctor, with Chance Hutchison on bass and both Jordan Sears and Graeme Mack on guitar.

STG have been long over due for a full-length release, but it seems to be paying off. The CD has sold out in London CD stores such as HMV, Sunrise Records and Grooves, showing great promise right from the start.

“We have gone through so much together as a band over the past five years and feel that we have captured that on this record,” the band wrote in a blog on their Myspace. “It has always been so important to us to live with open minds and through our music bring you along for the ride.”

Unlike most independent bands, Seconds to Go are still working with their original line-up, which the band says that level of commitment has “profoundly affected” their “songwriting ability by consistently pushing the creative process to new levels.”

Their self-titled debut is being released by Pop Culture/Antagonist records, which will give the band American roots when they begin to spread south.

STG certainly put a lot of work into their CD capturing the same energy and drive they put into their live performances, making it a must have for anyone's collection.

Along with the release of their CD, STG also have plans for a music video in the future. Fans of the band are given the option of choosing which song they would like to see as the first single by visiting the bands website, secondstogo.net, and voting.

Further future plans include an extensive American tour with the release of their CD south of the border in the next few months.

For the time being STG will be touring Canada promoting their new CD and further expanding their already enormous fan base.

After a moth of touring west through Canada, STG will be back in Ontario to end their cross-county tour in early September and October, with dates scheduled for the Toronto area and northern Ontario.
